Why Attome?

Attome came out of the realization that Responsive Web Design was the future, in spite of the fact that the overwhelming majority of websites do not have a responsive design. The fact is that mobile devices make up an increasingly larger segment of users accessing the internet, and websites that fail to optimize their sites will likely turn away every single one of these consumers. Attome was founded in 2013 in order to address this problem and bring modern web design to the mass market.

Alexander Reynolds

A preoccupation with science and technology has spanned Alex’s entire life. Despite a treasured pastime of trying to figure out what Stephen Hawking was talking about in A Brief History of Time, Alex’s (lack of) patience for long, tedious mathematical formulas suggested a different bent for his future career. He went on to earn a B.S. from Eastern Michigan University, where he studied economics and foreign policy.

Despite his failed career as rock star physicist, Alex maintained his hobby for building websites and developing code. While working as a web developer at a local startup, Alex realized that there was an incredibly short supply of web designers who specialized in responsive web design. What really represented the future of the internet had almost zero representation in the tech hub of Ann Arbor. Realizing this, Alex set out to create a firm that focused on the simple idea of bringing cutting-edge ideas to everyday business.

Bringing five plus years of experience in managing small teams, Alex believes in the value of cultivating meaningful relationships and seeing others grow. Only by bringing a holistic approach to running a business can everyone find success. For him, a responsive web designer does not only refer to the technology they offer, but also to the degree to which they deliver their service.

Being of service to his fellow human beings is a cornerstone of what drives Alex. He’s enjoyed volunteering at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, Food Gatherers, and the Delonis Community Kitchen. When Alex isn’t clocked in, he enjoys climbing, skydiving, traveling, reading, making music and spending time with his family (cats included).

Joel Madigan

Since discovering programming from the back of a Junior High math book, Joel has been passionate about computers, programming, and the pursuit of knowledge. Harkening back to the days of yore, when the Internet was something you “dialed-in to,” he has been keeping pace with the relentless march of technological progress, only occasionally breaking a sweat (CSS, I’m looking at you!).

From simple text games in BASIC to full featured dynamic websites, Joel brings his passion for problem solving and technical design to every project. When he’s not fiddling bits and wrangling web servers, Joel enjoys reading, music, video gaming, his kitteh Rascal, and making sarcastic comments on the internets.
